When she was born, she unsettled the natural balance of things, a stubborn stain, on society, that could not be scrubbed off. Society desires citizens who conform and comply, who abide to the principles of behaviour; not the Bourgeois Girls Club.
A Bourgeois girl is a rebel, a restless runner; a spirited, sensitive, strong willed soul, who shrugs off scholarly institutions, who casts aside cooperate careers, and frowns in face of fundamentals, all in favour, of the unlikely life. She is most afraid of being controlled, of being caged, and tamed; of being spoon fed society’s propaganda, until she swallows, and accepts.
She takes the staircase, two steps at a time. She likes secret gardens and tree houses, kaleidoscopes, and the crackle of record players; pressing her nose into books, for the scent of the pages, and licking leftover cake batter from the mixer. She sometimes speaks in murmurs of falsified foreign tongues, playacts that she is an espionage agent. She is ever changing, she is WILD and FREE.
She is a dreamer and her mission if accepted is to kindle cold hearts back to feeling, to extinguish limitations, to blaze trails, to see the magic, the miracles, of the everyday; to evolve.
We are the Bourgeois Girls Club.
We are drunk on dreams, doubtless, with no sense to sober up.
Do not compromise yourself, for society; forsake the constraints that chain your spirit. And relentlessly remember, you are the only soul who can keep your dreams from coming true.
The Bourgeois girl believes she was born in the wrong time. She rejects the modern materialistic society we have become so dependent upon. She is young and youthful finding beauty and joy in the simplest things. Thus reflected in her adventurous and care free vintage-esque style. Bourgeois Girls Club embraces individuality with no two pieces ever the same, the clothes are constructed out of pre-loved garments and recreated into timeless treasures. Our philosophy is deeply threaded in that of personal style, the idea that the clothes are an opportunity to engage in life, rebel against society and self-expression.
